Even though the city of Mérida – with its vibrant food and drinks scene and bustling streets – is just 25 minutes' drive away, you will feel utterly removed from all urban hustle, surrounded by lush vegetation with a carpet of stars above you.

Where you'll be staying: In one of the 40 beautifully appointed spaces that make up this cluster of wellness-inspired luxury. Options range from one to three bedrooms, with the jewel in the crown – the Royal Villa – featuring striking architecture, a spacious terrace with pool and a private cinema. Even the one-bedroom Casitas have their own pools, al-fresco living rooms with hammocks and outdoor moon showers.

Ancient healing traditions: Chablé Yucatán's spa is one of a kind, and the first to be built around a cenote, a naturally formed underground pool typical of this Mexican region and considered sacred by the Mayans. Treatment cabins dot the cenote's perimeter, while healing ceremonies are held in the traditional temazcal, or steam house. The entire resort was also designed with sustainability baked into its construction, which has earned it the Bombay Sapphire Eco Hotel Award 2026.

Don't skip the restaurant: The menu at flagship restaurant Ixi'im is curated by none other than Jorge Vallejo, the chef behind Quintonil in Mexico City, which has been consistently voted among The 50 Best Restaurants. The hotel's Mayan gardens provide much of the produce for the seasonal menus, including those served at Ki'ol, a second restaurant focusing on healthy and balanced meals. And, if you need an alternative to the wellbeing overload, Chablé also boasts one of the world's largest tequila collections.
