About The 50 Best Vineyards
The 50 Best Vineyards (formerly The World's 50 Best Vineyards) is the annual ranking of the very best winery and vineyard experiences on the planet.
Thanks to its panel of more than 700 wine tourism experts, as well as its structured and audited voting system, the annual list of the world's finest vineyards provides a snapshot of the best destinations to taste wine, discover extraordinary architecture, historic cellars, pioneering winemaking, incredible sustainability initiatives, spectacular landscapes, acclaimed dining, unusual accommodation and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
The history of The 50 Best Vineyards
The World's 50 Best Vineyards joined the 50 Best family in 2024 – it had previously been part of the wider William Reed portfolio operating as World's Best Vineyards.
World's Best Vineyards launched in 2019, with the annual awards ceremony taking place in London (2019); virtually (2020); Rheingau (2021); Mendoza (2022); Rioja (2023); and Sussex (2024).
Under new branding, The World's 50 Best Vineyards took place in Margaret River in 2025 and Santiago in 2026.
In 2026, The World's 50 Best Vineyards evolved into The 50 Best Vineyards.
The strength of the ranking lies in the relevance of its geographical network and the level of expertise of its voters, who together comprise The 50 Best Vineyards Academy. We are dedicated to transparently sharing our voting mechanics and methodology, and to continuing to evolve it, with structural improvements being made every year.
